Add images and other objects to table cells
You can paste text that includes photos, video, and shapes into table cells. The object must be set to “Move with Text,” and the text wrap set to “Inline with Text” in the Arrange pane of the Format inspector.
Paste text and inline objects into table cells
-
Select the object or the text that contains the inline object, then choose Edit > Cut or Edit > Copy (from the Edit menu at the top of your computer screen).
In cells, movies show only the poster image you set—they don’t play. Their properties are retained so that if you copy and paste them from the cell, they play as usual.
Click the cell, then choose Edit > Paste (from the Edit menu at the top of your computer screen).
Remove an inline object from a table cell
-
Do one of the following:
For text with an inline object: Place the insertion point at the end of the line of text, then press Delete.
For an inline object with no text: Select the cell, then click Cell in the Format inspector. In the pop-up menu next to Fill, choose No Fill.
You can also fill the background of a cell with an image, so text flows over it.
